The largest industrial park in the North Carolina region sits on Southeast Regional Airport Authority’s land. These commercial and private industries strengthen Scotland County’s economy. SERAA continually works with our partners and government to form and maintain long-term relationships locally and globally.
List of Recent Projects
New T-Hangars
The first new set of T-hangars was completed in 2018 offering 10 premier bays for general aviation aircraft
Apron rehabilitation and corporate taxi lane
Completed in 2019, an old set of T-hangars were demolished, the surrounding apron rehabilitated, and a taxi lane was created for future corporate hangars onsite
Current apron rehabilitation
More old T-hangars were torn down in 2022 with plans for apron rehabilitation in the spring of 2023 creating additional parking and access for the new fuel farm
Projects in the design phase include:
A new fuel farm to replace the underground farm built in the 1960s. The new fuel farm will be above ground, expanded, and retrofitted with the newest technology
A new terminal building will replace the existing facility built in 1976. The new terminal will be larger, modern, and cater to customers' needs
Runway 5/23 will be extended from 6,500ft to 8,500ft, making it the 8th longest runway in the state of North Carolina
